Pin: Tasmanian Tiger
The Thylacine, commonly know as the Tasmanian Tiger, was a marsupial which once roamed across Australia. Sadly it is now thought to be extinct and was last recorded in Tasmania during the 1930s. It was renowned for its distinct Tiger like stripes across its back.
Fun fact: What sound did the Tasmanian Tiger make? The Tasmanian Tiger was mute for most of the time, however they made a series of husky, coughing barks when excited or anxious and when hunting gave a distinctive terrier-like, double yap, repeated every few seconds.
